Consultation with industry is a major part of the NSW AAS project, and ORIC is seeking your input, feedback, comments and suggestions to ensure the NSW Adventure Activity Guidelines are:
Relevant, reliable and realistic guidelines for the Outdoor Recreation Industry in NSW
Applicable across a broad spectrum of activities and providers
Accurate and up-to-date with current practises and trends in the Outdoors
You may submit your comments on the NSW AAS Draft Version 1 documents for the five of the initial six activities.
Abseiling
Bushwalking
Challenge Ropes Course
Mountain Bikling
Rock Climbing
Canoe & Kayaking documents are in a Draft 3 stage, and are also available.
It is important that each NSW AAS be developed independently to ensure relevance and currency in relation to specific activities, whilst remaining consistent in layout and content. This will ensure that the NSW AAS can be easily used as a reference document that has a consistency in design and framework across all activities, whilst at the same time remaining an independent and complete document in itself.
Captured feedback and comments, will be fed through Technical Working Groups, analysed and recommendations made to assist with the ongoing development process of Version 1 NSW Adventure Activity Standards.
